• Transparent materials allow most light to pass through them and we can see the things behind them clearly.

• Semi transparent materials allow some light to pass through them and we can see the things through them less clearly.

•  From examples of semi transparent materials are frosted glass and tissue paper.

• Opaque materials don’t allow light to pass through them and we can’t see the things through them.

•  From examples of opaque materials are carton paper – wood – rock – aluminium foil.
